Solo Podcast Episode Development and Writing
Turn the idea inside your head into a clear, meaningful episode that still sounds like you.
Having a podcast topic is not the same as having an episode.
You may know that you want to speak about confidence, leadership, healing, business, grief, identity or relationships, but each of those subjects is enormous. When you sit down to write, you can very quickly find yourself trying to include everything you know.
The episode begins when we find the real question within that wider subject.
This service helps you take your initial idea, voice notes, rough writing or completed draft and shape it into an episode with a clear beginning, a natural journey and somewhere meaningful to land.
The purpose is not to make your voice sound overly polished or scripted.
It is to create enough structure around your thoughts that you can speak naturally, remain connected to what you are saying and carry the listener through the episode without losing them along the way.
You may need help finding the angle and building the structure. You may have already written the episode but feel that it no longer sounds like you. Or you may want deeper support turning your stories, ideas and teachings into a complete conversational script.
Because those are two very different levels of support, you can choose between an Episode Development Session or a fully written Solo Podcast Episode.
Episode Development Session
For the podcaster who wants to write the episode themselves but needs help shaping it first.
During this private 75-minute session, we will work through one solo podcast episode together.
We will find the central question, clarify what the listener needs from the episode and create a clear structure that you can then take away and write or record in your own way.
We may develop:
the central question or emotional hook;
the listener’s reason to stay;
what belongs in this episode and what should be saved for another;
the opening;
the natural order of the ideas;
personal stories or examples;
the key points you want to communicate;
transitions between sections;
the closing;
and possible episode-title directions.
You will receive the call recording and a written episode outline after our session.
